Select MLA Starter. Name the new project after the Defense Mechanism of your choice.

In the Dashboard area, Share with Teacher to
Lent {period #} Defense Mechanisms Note Cards

Add your citations in the BIBLIOGRAPHY section. Make sure to CHECK FOR ERRORS. Don't forget your control # in the Annotation Box.





Directions for logging on to ahs510.org Google Account


1. Go to Gmail login screen (you can google Gmail)
2. Your username is your first name last initial + 2015 +@ahs510.org
    examples: SaraO2015@ahs510.org
                    MarifloH2015@ahs510.org
3. Your temporary password is the same as your username to get on the computer: First name, last initial, birthdate

Directions for setting up Noodle Tools:

1. ONE PERSON from your group will click Create a New Project. Select MLA Starter and give it a specific name.
2. Then that same person will click Share Project with Drop Box. Select Berletti OMAM and your period # for English.
3. Then that same person will click Add/Remove Students. Add your group members' usernames one at a time. 
4. Now everyone on the team can access the same project.

Finding Valid Sources:

If you ever get stuck, ask for help!! Your research will not count if you use unreliable sources. Remember:

Tips for Searching Google:

  • Put phrases in quotation marks (examples:"great depression" "african americans")
  • Add keywords (example: California)
  • Use the minus sign to "subtract" words you do not want to show up in your search (example: -blog)
  • Use site:.edu to find university websites only
  • Use site:.gov to find US Government sites only

  • How to check a website:
    • Does it have the info I need?
    • How recent was it updated?
    • Who is the author or organization?
    • Does the author cite his/her sources?
    • Can I trust the author/organization?

    Click the Visual tab.

    Click on the Survival Stories button. It looks like this:

    Where it says Sort By, choose Call Number. Click Go.

    Click "show all" for easier scrolling. 

    Click on a title to find out more about the book and to see if it is checked in or out.
