Tips for Searching Google
:

  • Put phrases in quotation marks (examples:"fruit smoothie" "healthy alternative")
  • Use the minus sign to "subtract" words you do not want to show up in your search
  • Use site:.edu to find university websites only
  • Use site:.gov to find US Government sites only

  • How to check a website:
    • Does it have the info I need?
    • How recent was it updated?
    • Who is the author or organization?
    • Does the author cite his/her sources?
    • Can I trust the author/organization?
    Citing Your Sources in Noodle Tools:

    1. Click on Bibliography.
    2. Select a citation type. (ask for help if you are not sure)
    3. Fill in all required info. (ask for help if you are not sure what to fill in or where to find the info)
    4. CLICK CHECK FOR ERRORS

    5. Fix your errors.
    6. Generate citation.
